Medications that have antibiotic properties without a prescription

broad-spectrum antibiotic of first choice for empirical treatment of many infections. For nearly 15 years of Augmentin walks on the planet and for a long time is the most nominated and sold in the world (more than 30% of all antibiotics).
Augmentin is an original development of well-known British company SmitKlyayn Beecham Pharmaceuticals and a combination of amoxicillin – tops the evolution of antibiotic penicillin lines – and the most powerful known inhibitors of beta-lactamase – clavulanic acid. The combination of these two components of augmentin leads to unique properties. In preparation realized the concept of “attacking – to protect”: clavulanic acid irreversibly blocks the beta-lactamase as pathogenic and nonpathogenic microorganisms, opening amoxicillin free path for an attack on infectious agents. These properties have made possible a high clinical and bacteriological efficacy of the drug in many infections of different organs and systems, which do not change with time, as evidenced by more than 15 years experience in the successful application throughout the world new antibiotic targets.
Total in the world today there are more than 40000 publications containing data on the successful use of Augmentin in clinical practice, making it the most-studied after penicillin antibiotic in the world antibiotic adverse reactions.
Augmentin is registered and used in 100 countries. However, recommendations for antibiotic treatment of such countries as Great Britain, USA, Spain, France and many other antibiotic Augmentin is recommended as first choice for empirical treatment of many infections [antibiotic resistant bacteria pictures].
Much of this concerns the key agents of major infections listed below.
The drug is indicated for infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract (tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar and bronchial pneumonia), urinary tract infections (cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, gynecological infections), infections of the skin and soft tissues, bones and joints ( osteomyelitis), and even serious infections (septic abortion, obstetric sepsis, intra-abdominal sepsis), as well as for perioperative prophylaxis of surgical infection. In May 1999, Augmentin appeared in Ukraine in two dosage forms:
Augmentin tablets 625 mg BD (“twice a day”) – Blister 14 tablets. Each tablet contains 500 mg of amoxicillin and 125 mg clavulanic acid
Augmentin Syrup 228 mg / 5 ml twice a day. “Powder for 70 ml of syrup. 5 ml syrup contains 200 mg of amoxicillin and 28.5 mg clavulanic acid
Augmentin Tablets are intended for adult Augmentin in the form of syrup for children older than 1 month. In addition to high clinical and bacteriological efficacy, not prone to change over time, Augmentin has a favorable safety profile and tolerability. In studies of safety and tolerability, conducted with the participation of an impressive sample of patients (n = 32400), it was shown that the major side effects when using Augmentin were gastrointestinal disorders – diarrhea (8.4%) and the reaction of the skin – itching, rashes (1,4%), which were generally mild to moderate severity and were themselves at the end of treatment. Side effects from other organs and systems occurred with a frequency not exceeding 1%, and also had mild to moderate severity. During 15 years of use was no reported case of death associated with the use of Augmentin antibiotic doses for cats and dogs. In recognition of the high efficiency of Augmentin, in 1995, the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards and the U.S. announced Augmentin “gold standard” among penicillin antibiotics, ie, those with whom all newly developed antibiotics medications that have antibiotic properties without a prescription. Until now, no antibiotic could not demonstrate effectiveness, exceeds that of Augmentin.
